Timmy and Tommy with their uncle Tom Nook

Timmy (まめきち, Mamekichi) and Tommy (つぶきち, Tsubukichi) are twin apprentices of Tom Nook, the raccoon who runs the village store. They look after the upper floor of Nookington's, which their mentor owns. The upper floor sells furniture, flooring, carpets, and paint. Timmy and Tommy have much the same function as Tom Nook - both mentor and apprentices can buy items the player is selling, show the player the catalog, and state how much turnips are currently selling for.

Timmy and Tommy attempt to speak in unison, but one always lags behind the other, causing one to repeat every last word the other one of them says. They are twins and both share resemblance to Tom Nook, even mimicking some of his phrases. Apparently, from some discussions with Tom Nook, the two can be distinguished by a mole on one of their hands. Tom Nook also says that he is not related to Timmy and Tommy by blood, and thinks of them as his pupils and himself as the mentor, stating that he wants to teach others good economic principals in order to help them from suffering the same pitfalls he did when growing up. Timmy is slightly more high pitched.

When the player tells what item they want, which ever twin that is closer will help you out. Timmy and Tommy are smaller than Tom Nook and the player.
