Static (スパーク, Spark) is a cranky, squirrel in the Animal Crossing Series. His name is based on the green and yellow lightning bolt that goes down his head. His catchphrase comes from the noise that lightning makes when it strikes. He will later reappear in Animal Crossing 3DS.
Static is a purple squirrel with yellow swirl on his tail outlined in green, and a yellow lightning bolt on the top of his head outlined in green, and he intially wears a melon shirt. He has eyes that are half open, in a grumpy way. The lightning bolt fits with his name. He has a unhappy look that can twist into a happy face depending on his mood, and he cries when he has a happy look. The inside of his ears are a pale pink, and his paws are a lighter shade of purple then the rest of his body. He may be mistaken for a lazy villager because of his eyebrows which make him look sad.
Below is a brief description of the cranky personality. For more information, click here. As a cranky villager, Static will appear mature and small minded compared to other personality types. This will make him appear belittling, arrogant, small minded, and insensitive to other villagers, including the player. Despite this, he will learn to confide in the player, considering them his only friend. He will enjoy the usual hobbies, but for relaxation and peace than competition. He will occasionally ask the player to get him clothes. He will find it difficult to socialize with peppy villagers, who he will criticize when talking to other villagers. He will get along with lazy and snooty villagers, as well as other cranky villagers, who he will share deeper conversations with. He will, on occasion, annoy a normal villager, usually when being mean about something or someone.
Static has many items from the modern series. He has a rock, metal, and folk guitar in his house. Although he has three stereos and one boom box in his home, only the golden stereo plays a song, Surfin' K.K. His wallpaper is the plaza wall and his flooring is steel flooring.
